Public Service Director

I am a recovering adrenaline junkie turned tech geek.  To put it simply, I started out as a breaking news reporter and have since dove headlong into the wondrous world of website design, marketing and multimedia production. I’m currently a web developer and online marketing coordinator for M3 Planning and occasionally teach multimedia reporting at the University of Nevada, Reno where I earned my BA of Journalism.  I love using technology to improve both news and marketing. I’ve been the Web Director for a local television station and a reporter for various news agencies including Gannett’s Reno Gazette-Journal and NPR affiliate KUNR 88.7 FM. I provided multi-media and print coverage of the week-long Burning Man festival, the Brianna Denison murder investigation, and the 2008 presidential caucuses and general election.

Food or beverage you would die without?
Coffee – I call it liquid ambition. I may not die without it, but remaining gainfully employed would certainly be more of a challenge.

What is your favorite bumper sticker?
I can’t pick just one. “Save the whales, collect the full set.” “I read the Constitution for the articles.” “Dyslexic poets write inverse.”
